Bump Friendly Dresses for Summer
Next week we are heading to San Diego and gosh I cannot WAIT. Weβll have an entire week of relaxing by the pool and the beach and watching the kids have a blast and Iβm sure weβll quite our fair share of tired meltdowns in there too ;) But itβll all be worth it for a much-needed vacation! Weβll get to see some family on our way down and some friends while weβre there back in California and gahhh I feel like Iβve been waiting for this little trip for so long and itβs finally almost here!
With that being said, this month for my Red Dress Boutique try on, I focused on Bump Friendly Dresses that are perfect for Summer and if you want to carry them into Fall, throw over a denim jacket or cardigan and youβre set!
All of these looks are non-maternity but work with a bump and Iβll give you a quick review of eachβ¦ links included too, of course!
Bump Friendly Dresses for Summer
This floral midi dress is where weβll start because itβs my all time favorite! I honestly donβt love the fabric (itβs a little stiff) but that wonβt keep me from wearing it non-stop the rest of Summer and beyond. The details and the print and the fit are just perfection! I am wearing a size small and the bust is extra stretchy - no stretch in the bottom but flowy enough to work with that growing bump!
I was super excited about this romper-dressβ¦ well, itβs a romper but looks like a dress and if that isnβt what every mom needs then I donβt know what is! I typically refrain from wearing mini dresses because Iβm constantly bending over and picking up kids and getting my clothes pulled in every direction so I was excited to finally get my hands on one of these but unfortunately it ended up being far too short with the bump. Itβs nice and flowy so fit over that baby bump just fine but I think because of my height it just pulled a little too far up for my personal taste. But if youβre barely pregnant, shorter or not pregnant at all, then I love it! Iβll be taking up space in my closet until I have a chance to wear it next year, thatβs for sure! Oh and Iβm wearing a size small!
This floral halter maxi dress is another one that I absolutely adored in every way but didnβt love the fit with the bump. I think I just prefer when itβs a little tighter above the bump to show it off and this one is super flowy from top to bottom. Gorgeous, but not my favorite while pregnant. Itβs got a gorgeous open back, halter style top and itβs nice and long with the most beautiful floral print. Iβm wearing a size small and Iβd definitely recommend NOT sizing up on this one.
I love love love this color block oversized jute beach bag β like love it!! Itβs big, itβs not stiff (which will be great for packing into luggage) and I love those colors!
And lastly, weβve got this pink floral midi dress which was beautiful but has absolutely zero stretch and honestly was very difficult to get on and off. I searched and searched for a zipper but could not find one so maybe itβs just a dress that only works with small boobs. Heck, Iβve got small boobs and could barely get it on so if you love it, Iβd recommend sizing up for sure!! But once I got it on, it was flowy enough to be a bump friendly dress with plenty of fabric leftover. I am wearing a size small here!
