Our Christmas Decorated Home
Every year I say it and I’ll say it again - after a few weeks of being up, Christmas decor starts to feel like clutter to me and I just want it all put away. Don’t get me wrong, I love holiday decor - Christmas trees and ornaments and garland, stockings and advent calendars, but I like simplicity in my home. I like it clean because it’s more calming (personally) and so we’re the family that doesn’t put our Christmas tree up until December. Well, this year we had a Hand Food Mouth incident in our home and had to cancel our vacation to see family (booo) so we put it up a couple days early to add some cheer into the kids’ lives but we did something else differently this year too -
We kept it simple. And I love it so much!
It festive but doesn’t feel overwhelming and I think I’ve finally found the most perfect balance. But yes, we sure do have 5 Christmas trees in our home so interpret the word “balance” as you wish - family room, Ava’s room, big boys’ room, Frank’s office and a little one in Mac’s room too.
