Our front room furniture is in!

Yesterday we came home to three huge boxes on our front porch — the best Tuesday surprise ever! That living room in our new house has been sitting there with a rug, an end table and a mattress for guests to sleep on and we finally got it furnished! Well, the first step in getting it all complete but hey, it’s a start and we’re almost there! Couches are in, comfy chairs are in and we just need some lighting, side tables and maybe a coffee table and then we can finally call it complete!

I’ll definitely blog the completed look once it’s all finished (give me some time because decisions are hard) but in the meantime, I just had to show you the living room furniture we got from DHP Furniture because I could not be more in love!

As you all know (or if you don’t already know), our family room is all white and ivory with some light grey, gold and wood accents but other than that, it’s pretty white. So for our front living room, we wanted more formal front room furniture that was completely different from what we have in the family room — We went with a grey velvet sofa and two matching grey velvet accent chairs and I absolutely love the final look!

And even better? Look at what that sofa does — it’s a couch that turns into a bed but you don’t need to buy a mattress for it. It’s brilliant and just so functional for when we have guests in town. Or maybe even sleepovers for the kids when they get older.
