Half Bathroom Renovation

Half Bathroom Renovation

That title right there may be a bit deceiving because although our downstairs half bathroom looks like a completely different bathroom, I can hardly use the word “renovation.” It’s more like a DIY bathroom… in about 2 total hours.

Yes, you read that right.

BEFORE

I did a DIY bathroom upgrade all myself in about 2 total hours and just wait until you see how it turned out - looks like a whole new bathroom! I knew this space was quite plain before but didn’t realize just how plain it was until I looked back at the before photos - unreal how much a few hours can change a space.

I added that beautiful peel and stick tile which I love, by the way and highly recommend. The green peel and stick tile may be my next project (maybe in the laundry room?). It’s so easy and so pretty and it truly looks like textured tiles. I can’t say much about the longevity myself but so far so good. And I HAVE seen others use this same peel and stick tile and it has lasted great so I’m hoping the same happens over here. But if not, the half an hour was still worth it.

I replaced that builder grade mirror (the hardest part was getting the mirror off of the wall) and that new bronze mirror is just to die for. I love love love it, the bronze is perfection, the rounded edges are beautiful, the mounting system made it so darn easy and it was under $100 for that big mirror which is crazy!

And then the wallpaper - that beautiful mural wallpaper. I love it so darn much. It’s far more green in person (photographs more brown and tan, even on their own website) but gosh it’s just so beautiful. It’s easy to install and renter-friendly wallpaper that you can just peel down when you’re done with it. But I love it so much so I don’t anticipate ever pulling it down!

The moral of this very long story is that if you want a space to be upgraded, upgrade that space. It doesn’t need to take a lot of time and it doesn’t need to take a lot of money to completely transform a space in your home and make it your own!
