Hayes + Franky's Neutral-Natural Pottery Barn Double Nursery
Sponsored with love by Pottery Barn Kids
I’m 38 weeks pregnant today and finished the boys’ double nursery just in time so if you need some gender neutral nursery ideas, I’ve got ya covered! I know I keep saying it but Hayes, you can come any day now… preferably today because I’m really over this waiting game ;) So here it is, the long-awaited nursery tour (I know, I started this nursery like in June and took a big pause until now) and I’m just so excited to show you all how it turned out!
Here’s a little bit about our nursery style and vision:
If you know my style at all or have seen our home, you know that I love neutrals and naturals and I love all things simple. So with that in mind, we worked with Pottery Barn Kids to create our dream nursery for the boys! And of course, there are lots of small shop products in there too because I love supporting the small shops of the world.
And then the reason behind the boys sharing since I know many of you have asked over the months…
We do have a spare bedroom/office in our home that we could have used for Hayes’ nursery but 1. Frank uses it as a home office for work and 2. It’s nice having that extra space when guests come to stay. But even beyond that, Franky and Hayes are only going to be 19 months apart (so really, we will have two babies in a couple of weeks) and it felt a bit silly to give them each their own rooms and have all of that space used for just sleeping babies, if you know what I mean. But after all of your feedback on kids sharing rooms, I am so excited for the boys to grow together in that space and also a bit terrified for the first couple of weeks - We shall see how that goes!
I also did a whole blog round-up on Fall + Winter newborn baby clothes we snagged, all from small shops. If you want to see Hayes’ wardrobe for the first couple months of his life (honestly some of the cutest newborn and baby clothes I’ve ever seen), click here to see it all!
Anyhow, if you’re looking for some twin nursery inspiration (aka a boys nursery with 2 cribs) or just a great way to create a natural and neutral nursery for either gender (for those of you who aren’t finding out the gender beforehand), I hope you love everything we put together!
