How to Style Leopard Sneakers: The Everyday Outfit Formula That Actually Works
Okay I have to be honest with you. I used to walk right past leopard print anything. Too bold, too much, not for me. And then I bought these sneakers on a whim and wore them with the most basic neutral outfit I could put together and something clicked. Leopard sneakers are not a statement. They are the finishing touch that makes every neutral outfit look like you actually tried.
This is the outfit I keep coming back to and it takes about two minutes to put on. A dark brown half zip sweater, wide leg jeans, a black woven bag and the sneakers. That is literally it. No styling required.
The Outfit Breakdown
The Half Zip Sweater
This sweater is from The Foxy Kind and it is the kind of piece that earns compliments every single time. The color is a deep chocolate brown that photographs beautifully and works with basically everything in my closet. I am wearing a small and the fit is intentionally oversized so size down if you want a more fitted look. Use code JENN15 for 15% off.
The Wide Leg Jeans
These are the Rolla's Jeans from Free People and they are one of my most reached for pairs right now. The baggy fit is relaxed without being sloppy and they are true to size so no guessing on sizing. Wide leg jeans are having a serious moment and honestly they are not going anywhere.
The Leopard Sneakers
These are the Adidas leopard sneakers from StockX and they are the whole reason this outfit works. The print is not overwhelming because the rest of the look is so neutral. That is the formula. Keep everything else simple and let one piece do the talking. These run true to size.
The Bag and Accessories
The black woven hobo bag is from Amazon and it looks so much more expensive than it is. I layered two necklaces here, one from Nadri and one from Sezane, which is my go-to trick for making any casual outfit feel more intentional. The white tee underneath is also Amazon.
The Outfit Formula You Need to Know
Here is what I want you to take away from this. If you have a pair of statement sneakers sitting in your closet that you never wear because you do not know what to do with them, this is your formula.
Neutral top (sweater, tee, button down)
Wide leg or straight leg jeans in a light or medium wash
One statement shoe
A simple bag that does not compete
Layered necklaces to pull it all together
That is it. Five things and you have an outfit that looks like you put actual thought into it.
Why I Love Getting Dressed Every Day
I know that sounds like a lot but hear me out. Getting dressed on purpose changes how you feel. It is not about being fancy or having somewhere important to be. It is about showing up for yourself even on the most ordinary Tuesday.
My whole thing is finding outfits that feel good and look good without requiring a lot of effort. This is one of those outfits. Grab it, put it on, go live your life.
Final Thoughts
If there is one thing I hope you take from this post it is that getting dressed does not have to be complicated. A cozy sweater, your favorite jeans, a bag that holds everything and one shoe that makes you smile when you look down. That is enough. That is actually everything. I will keep sharing the outfits that are working for me and I hope they work for you too. Everything from this look is linked on my LTK so you can shop it in literally two seconds.
