Kids Easter Basket Ideas

Yesterday the kids asks for waffles for lunch and I’d you follow us on Instagram, you know our love for mini waffle shapes - we have them for all of the major holidays! We have a pumpkin and a skeleton for Halloween, a snowflake for Christmas, a heart for Valentine’s Day and a cute little bunny waffle maker for Easter, among others. So the kids chose the bunny waffle maker and it reminded me that I need to start getting the kids Easter baskets together!

This year I’ve been working hard on de-cluttering our home, simplifying and really choosing wisely what new items we bring into the home. And this is significantly lessened my stress levels (I hate clutter) so this brought me to a question I asked you all over on stories:

“What items should I put in the kids Easter baskets, items that will actually be used and not just add to the clutter?”

And I got so many good ideas sent my way so I figured I’d round them all up along with some ideas I had and some brands we love for inspo. So here it is —

Kids [Useful] Easter Basket Ideas

  • mini bunny waffle maker (you can snag them on Amazon here or at Target here!)

  • rain boots (we love Goumi - CODE: JENN, Hunter Boots and Dakota Ridge kids rain boots)

  • kids sandals (since Spring is coming up!)

  • chalk (this Peeps chalk is so cute and so is this Easter egg chalk!)

  • crochet loveys (we ordered the kids loveys from LovedKnots this year — a dino, sloth, flamingo and bison but she has so many to choose from, bunnies included!)

  • crayons (We ordered these personalized name crayons last year!)

  • kids towels (our are so old so this is on the top of my list!)

  • snacks (Annie’s bunnies are a cute idea or really any of your kids’ favorite snacks!)

  • bonnets (We love Olive and Cradle for baby bonnets!)

  • pajamas (Some faves are Goumi (CODE :JENN), Brixton Phoenix and Lou Lou & Company)

  • wooden baby toys or teethers

  • Spring clothes (Have they out grown last years?)

  • iloveplum tutus as the stuffing instead of fake grass

  • Easter Books (here’s a list I put together of kids Easter books for lots of ages!)

  • coloring books or these kids drawing pads (a top used item over here!)

  • stickers

  • a Kids Bible

  • new toothbrushes

  • Play Doh or a Play Doh sensory kit (we love these holiday sensory kits)

  • Olivia J Socks (code: JENN for a discount!)

  • Easter pajamas (I’ll be putting together a list of these soon!)

  • water bottles, cups, or tumblers (we did these personalized Easter straw cups last year and they love them still!)

  • makeup or jewelry for the older girls

And that’s just some of the items you all sent my way as great Easter basket ideas for kids. I will continue adding to this list for you as I get more!
