Kids Holiday Gift Guide 2024

If you’re still in need of some kids holiday gift ideas, then we’ve got you covered! Click here for Ava’s girls holiday gift guide and today the boys (ages 2-5) are showing off some of their favorite things!

These are all kids toys and items that we’ve owned and loved for years - none are new to us. So as a mom, I can tell you that these are all items that get plenty of use AND work well for a large variety of ages. It’s always great when gifts work for all of them, you know? More play time and it makes it all more worth the money spent. And it’s just fun when we find something they love so much that it’s pulled out constantly.

So here it is, our kids holiday gift guide with a short little list of toys we absolutely love (and the boys agree!). Heck, if Ava was in this vide she would agree too since most of these are toys she plays with constantly too. She was just playing with all of those instruments just last night - her own one girl band in our living room ;)

I linked everything below for you, including lots of the toys on Ava’s holiday gift idea list!

Kids Holiday Gift Guide

The Anywhere Chair

We use these daily and they’re fantastic because you can pull off the cover and wash it or purchase new covers without having to buy the whole chair again. And you get to personalize them with their name which I love! These are the new Anywhere Chair covers we got this year (Ava got a pink ruffle one!) and they are absolutely adorable. And into the wash the old ones went. This is the regular size (medium) and all of my kids ages 2-8 use this same size!

Magnatiles

This is my go-to gift ideas for all kids of all ages. And heck, I’m 35 and they’re fun for me to play with too! You can get basic kits or themed kits - dinosaurs, construction, zoo animals, etc - and really, they’re so great for even young ages. Mac started playing with them around 6-9 months old and they will forever be a favorite over here!

Climbing Toys

Another one that’s forever a favorite. We got our first pikler climbing triangle when Franky was 9 months old (he got it for Christmas that year!) and we' play with these all the time. They can literally climb them before they can walk and they’re just so much fun to have. You should see our basement - it’s like a big playground with lots of these and they’re great for so many ages!

Scooters and Bikes

I know I don’t need to say much about these because what kid wouldn’t be ecstatic about a new scooter or bike? We ride ours daily inside the home (haha) and in the summer all of the neighborhood kids ride outside together almost every single night - it’s the best! Christmas has always been our go-to time to upgrade any of the kids who need a larger size… Mac got his first scooter for Christmas last year when he was one!

Wooden Trucks

These are another one I love so much and the wooden toy trucks seem to hold up so much longer than the plastic ones. And they look pretty ;) We added this construction truck to our collection of wooden toy trucks this year and it’s a great one! But the others we’ve have for about 3 years and they’ve held up so well and are still played with all the time!

Kids Play Kitchen

Ava got her first play kitchen when she was around 2 years old and we have loved ours ever since! They’re so great for their little imaginations and this is another one we have in our play room that’s used daily by all four of my kids.

Instruments

We love instruments over here. Yes, they’re noisy but they’re just so fun. I love when they all team up and make a little band together (usually they must spend about 10 minutes arguing over who gets which instrument haha!) but we got a couple new ones to add to our collection and this little kids piano is the current favorite!

Animal Rockers

These are the cutest take on your typical rocking horse but they come in almost any animal you could ever think of. I’ve always gotten one for the kids nurseries as babies because I just think they’re so adorable (hence why we have 3 - sorry Ava I didn’t have the idea before you were born) and they’re always riding them around the house.

Water Table

This is probably the top used toy over here - the water table. Ava got her first water table for her first birthday and these are also used daily, even in the winter! We let it freeze over and the kids love hammering and playing with the ice and in the summer, well… self explanatory. Anyone who is a mom knows that water is forever a favorite for kids and this one comes with so many fun accessories too!
