Macallen's 1st Birthday & Cake Smash

I cannot believe my baby, my very last baby, is ONE :( Yes, I cried. Even before his birthday I cried because it’s crazy to be closing this chapter of my life that I could leave open forever. From the time I was a little girl, I wanted babies and lots of babies. I always said I was going to have ten and while that’s not a dream of mine, I still am so sad to be stopping at four but of course I am so thankful for the four that I have because I know that journey is not easy for many people.

My sweet Macallen is one - he’s a toddler now and I can say without a doubt that I soaked in that last year of having a baby like no other. I smothered his cheeks all day long with kisses, I soaked in those contact naps and truly, truly am so happy with how I ended this chapter. But yes, I am still sad.

For Mac’s birthday, we did a little celebration at home with just our family - a cake smash and a few presents and no big party like we did with the first two. And it was just perfect. I do love planning but the simplicity of it all was actually very special to me and I loved how we celebrated this time around.

I will link everything from his mini party and the few baby gift ideas we got him too!
