North States | The Best Baby Play Yard

Sponsored with love by North States

You know it's kind of funny, years before I was even pregnant with Ava we brought home our first born son, Baxter Bane. At the time, I was working from home but was often out on appointments or tours with brides so we needed a way to keep him contained in the kitchen/dining area. The living room was carpeted and he wasn't potty trained when we first got him at 8 weeks old so put two and two together and you'll understand why that was a must.

We searched at a couple of pet stores and we just couldn't find any gate we loved. And so, we headed to Walmart and we found the perfect one. It sounds kind of silly but we wanted something that looked nice in our living room so ended up buying a North States Superyard in grey and it was perfection.

Fast forward three years -- We have a four month old baby girl who is crawling all over the place and we knew we needed a baby gate. Whether I needed to do dishes or get some work done or just keep her away from our brick fireplace, a baby gate was an absolute MUST. So we pulled out that same gate we used for Baxter and two moves and three years later, it still is our favorite.

Here are some of the many reasons I absolutely love it:

- It folds up flat so when we're traveling up North to visit my family, we can easily bring it with us!

- You can add up to 8 total panels for the option of a bigger play space.

- It’s great for indoor AND outdoor use.

- They have a grey option. I'm that person who has kids but looking at my living room, I don't want you to know it. And believe me, it's hard to come across baby products that don't scream "a baby lives here" so this neutral grey is huge for me, personally. But if you love color, it comes in a colorful option too! (There’s one for everyone!)

- It's lightweight (YES!!). I can carry all six folded panels in one hand with a baby in the other...because mom's need products that they can carry with one hand.

- It lasts! This play yard has gone through three homes, two moves, a dog and a baby and it's still holding strong. And I don't plan on getting another for the next baby either (when the time comes, of course).

So if you're in need of a great baby play yard recommendation, I can tell you first hand that the North States Superyard is the way to go.
