Playroom-Homeschool Room Reveal
Our playroom and homeschool room is finally complete and gosh I could not be more excited about thisβ¦ the kids too. Every since we re-did this space a few months ago, so much has changed in such a positive way over here β
The kids play in here, create in here and read in here all the time, like hours a day. Which makes me so dar happy because I really thought about each and every single detail when putting it all together and this has proven that I did a good job for them.
Organization has helped tremendously - thereβs a space for everything so this makes it super quick and easy for myself or the kids to pick up at the end of each day. Thereβs a basket for trains, a basket for art, a basket for dinosaurs, magnatiles and so onβ¦ quite literally has changed my life.
And then those little kids desks have been used far more than I ever expected. This coming year will be my first year homeschooling two kiddos - Franky and Ava - and last year we homeschooled at our kitchen counter. That worked just fine but I really wanted a space for them to do their school work and to my surprise, they have spent hours a day at those little desks, coloring and crafting and having so much fun creating. The school year hasnβt even started yet and we sure have gotten our use out of them!
And then this little reading corner - itβs one of my favorite spaces. That little kids couch is perfect for all of them - even Macallen who is only a year old) and the little bookshelves are easily accessible to all of them. Every few weeks Iβve been switching out the books down here from our upstairs library and it has been so much fun reading new books and finding new favorites they typically never even notice upstairs. And of course, the storage coffee table is super helpful for some of the extra storage of toys that didnβt fit in those baskets.
If you scroll down a bit youβll see the gallery wall, created by the kids. Displaying kidsβ artwork has such a positive affect on them so I had them each paint, color or draw something to frame up there. And then above their desks, we hung that giant pin board so they can display their favorite artwork up there too. That has been one of their favorite things to do in there - the pride on their faces being able to display what theyβre most proud of has been so fun to watch.
And there are so many other details I absolutely love in here - I truly took everything I could think of into account while bringing this space together. I hope you find some inspo in here for your kids rooms, play rooms or homeschool spaces and if thereβs anything you love and want to add to cart, I linked it all right here for you!
