An Animal Themed Birthday Party for Mac + Hayes

An Animal Themed Birthday Party for Mac + Hayes

Over the weekend we had the little boys’ joint birthday party with their friends - Mac is turning 3 and Hayes just turned 5! It’s actually nice having their birthdays so close together because neither of them are in school yet so they have the same friends anyways.

And oh my gosh it all turned out so cute! But let’s start with the tables -

Back in December we hosted a gingerbread house making party for the kids and their friends (along with a Secret Santa gift exchange) and we got all of the party supplies from Gatherings. Well I had to go back to their site for this party because they’ve got the cutest designs!

And if you aren’t good at pairing things together yourself or don’t even want to think about it, they’ve got premade sets you can choose and you get everything you need in one click. Seriously brilliant and you’ll see what I mean once you see the table decor!

Next up, we had the cutest party favor ideas that work for all ages and that was a must since we had kids there ages 1-9. And it was a HIT. I am so happy with how it turned out and how much all of the kids loved adopting their little pets. Honestly, real pets would’ve been way cooler but I would’ve had some pretty annoyed parents, hah!

Everything on the Adopt-A-Pet party favor station was from Oriental trading but I’ll make it nice and easy on you and link everything below - the mini stuffed animals, the adoption certificates, the signs and even down to the string we hung the animals on. It’s all there for you to make your next party plans nice and simple!

And lastly, the DIY Play Doh sensory kits! These could actually be a party favor as well but we used them as the activity for the day. We made our own play doh at home and had little animals, trees, rocks and all things nature related for them to play with. The kids all sat there for so long playing and then when it was time to leave, they packed up their little play doh kits into jars and took them home with them for endless hours of p lay for the future!

We did this at Ava’s birthday party too but just changed up the theme. So this is one that works for so many ages and you can pick and choose items to go in there that work well for whatever party theme you’re going with!

Okay I’ll stop typing now and let you get to the fun part - looking at all of the cute little party details!
