5 Easy DIY Halloween Party Treats Kids Can Make
These DIY Halloween party treats are exactly what I make when I want something easy and fun with the kids during the Halloween season (we’ve made some of these for years now!) All 5 of these are perfect for kids Halloween parties or just as a fun little activity to do with you kids. They only take a couple minutes each and work for really any age (I have fun making them too!) so I’m certain you’re going to have fun with these :)

Witches Brooms
This is the easiest treat on the list and always the first thing to disappear. It only takes 2 ingredients and a few minutes to assemble.
What You Will Need
mini peanut butter cups, unwrapped
thin pretzel rods
How To Make It
Unwrap your Reeses’s chocolates.
Gently twist your pretzels back and forth giving light force into the top of the chocolate until they’re secure.
And that’s all, they’ll stand up like witches brooms and are such a cute and easy treat for hosting.
Oreo Spiders
Oreo spiders are a classic for a reason - we’ve made these for years and years. They come together fast and kids love picking out the eyes.
What You Will Need
oreo cookies (the ones with extra frosting work best)
thin pretzel sticks, broken in half
frosting or decorating gel
small candy eyes
How To Make It
Gently pull apart your oreo cookies so the frosting sticks to one side. Hold onto that outer cookie for later.
Snap your pretzels in half and add 8 legs (4 on each side) by pushing them right into the oreo cookie frosting.
Put the other side of your oreo back on.
Add small dots of decorating gel or icing wherever you want to put eyes. Place the eyes on your spider and have fun with it!
These are a great one to set up as a little assembly station at a party since kids can build their own spider and eat it right away.
Halloween Themed Trail Mix
This trail mix is the easiest non baking treat on the list and it is also the most customizable. I served ours cute little Halloween themed ceramic dishes spread throughout our Halloween themed table.
What You Will Need
candy corn
reese's pieces
candy eyeballs
kettle corn
corn or rice chex
How To Make It
Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl.
Toss everything together until evenly mixed.
Serve right away in a festive bowl or store in an airtight container until party time.
This is such an easy one to double or triple for a bigger group and it holds up well if you need to make it a day ahead. And feel free to customize the ingredients based on your own taste buds!
Marshmallow Skeleton Pops
These are the most eye catching treat on the table and they are simpler to make than they look.
What You Will Need
large marshmallows
wooden skewers
decorating gel or icing
small candy eyes (not required)
yogurt or white chocolate covered pretzels
How To Make It
Thread a large marshmallow onto the stick to form the skull.
Stack several yogurt covered pretzels on top of the marshmallow to build the skeleton spine.
Cap the bottom with a second large marshmallow to hold everything in place.
Use black decorating gel to draw a face on the top marshmallow or use it as glue to put on candy eyes.
Kids loved building these themselves and they make such a fun edible craft if you are looking for something more hands on than a simple no bake mix.
Mummy And Spider Web Brownies
This is a two in one treat since you can decorate the same brownie base two totally different ways. Bake your favorite brownie recipe (or buy them pre-made and cut…that’s what I did).
What You Will Need
brownies, cut into squares
white cookie icing
small candy eyes
How To Make It
Cook or purchase your brownies and once cooled, cut them into squares.
Decorate with your icing - a spider web or mummy.
For your mummy, push on some candy eyes directly on the icing before it dries.
Let them stand until they’ve hardened before serving.
