Wallpaper in Ava's New Room
Ava’s had her current bed and dresser since she moved out of a crib at age 2. She’s 8, almost 9 now for reference. And actually, all of her furniture is still in tip top shape (we found some great new homes for them!) but I really wanted the chance to give her a a big girl room - a room where SHE decides what will be inside… with a bit of my help.
So we started with wallpaper from our favorite, Anewall, and she chose the most beautiful pink and floral wallpaper that I just can’t stop staring at!
I’ll be honest - this wallpaper she chose scared me. I’m very much a neutral gal when it comes to my home but this is her space so I let go of that and let her take the lead and gosh I’m so glad I did because it’s just SO HER and so darn beautiful. Seeing it come to life after choosing it from a computer screen is just… wow. And you’ll see in a second what I mean, especially when you see those before and afters of the space.

Next up: the curtains, which I will say time and time again how much curtains also make a world of a difference in a space. They just bring a warmth and coziness and ahhhh I just love how this is coming along!!
Her furniture won’t arrive for another few weeks so right now, this project is on hold and we’re back to working on our entryway. Here’s where you left off… the DIY wall paneling that was oh-so easy! And so much has been done to that space that I cannot wait to show you. It’s not complete yet but we’re getting there!!
