Make Moments | Our Winter Family Bucket List

Crafting as a family, baking with the kids, enjoying a glass of milk and cookies with your besties while just enjoying each others’ company…these are the moments I want to make this fall and holiday season. This holiday season is all about family. It’s all about moments and memories. Of course, the holiday gifting (and receiving), the magic of leaving Santa milk and cookies on Christmas Eve, and the delicious food on Thanksgiving is all great, but that time we get to spend with family we don’t see often is my favorite.

It’s my absolute favorite part of the holidays.

The holiday season is about making moments and enjoying the simpler, precious things we have in life. It’s about coming together, slowing down, and enjoying the beautiful time we have with our family, our friends, and our little ones.

This fall, I put together a little bucket list for our family (just like the Kids' Summer Bucket List we completed this summer) and this is what it’s all about — the moments. One stand-out item we're adding to our list is enjoying the feeling of milk thanks to some inspiration by our friends over at Milk Life. Share a glass with your friends, family, neighbors, and more and enjoy the taste and feel of the holiday season! Head over to Instacart to add milk right onto your grocery list and enjoy!

Our Winter + Holiday Bucket List

  • enjoy a drink with family/friends (no technology, just conversation), milk for the kids and maybe even a little chocolate in there, too)

  • bake something you’ve never baked before (and have your kids help you!)

  • go apple picking (and make applesauce or apple pie with your pickings!)

  • go for a nature walk

  • roast s’mores (and don’t forget a big glass of milk to go along with it!)

  • make an autumn craft with your kids (wreaths, decor, centerpieces, stockings, knit hats)

  • cozy up and host a movie night with friends or family (with milk and cookies, of course)

  • go ice skating (this one will need to be just daddy and Ava since I'm pregnant!)

  • have a snowball fight (we will be at the snow later this month!)

  • build a snowman

  • go sledding

  • build a gingerbread house

  • make homemade apple cider

  • volunteer and/or donate toys and food

  • make a pine cone craft

  • make paper snowflakes

  • make homemade soup

And there you have it—our family winter bucket list. And you’re more than welcome to steal some of our ideas for yourself, too ;)

So next time you’re at the grocery store, snag a jug of dairy milk, pour a cold glass for everyone and just enjoy those precious moments you have together.

Milk is the top food source of the three ingredients kids lack the most in their everyday diets: calcium, vitamin D and potassium. Real dairy milk is naturally nutrient-rich, with 8 ounces of protein in every 8 ounce glass. It’s wholesome, simple and it’s the perfect drink to pair with these holiday moments.

These moments will turn into memories that will last a lifetime.

And those are the moments that matter.
