Jul 5 Our 4th of July Celebrations 2022

Yesterday we had such a blast celebrating the 4th of July with our friends and of course, I’ll make sure to give you all the deets on the kids 4th of July shirts and kids 4th of July swimsuits.

In the morning we headed to a friend’s family 4th of July party with yummy food and friends, a water gun fights and of course the highlight of the kids’ day was the water slide bounce house. They spent just about the whole day in there. Then we headed home and all of the kids fell asleep for a quick little power nap before our friends came over to our house and we did more playing and more appetizers and then headed outside for dinner and fireworks. We did sparklers, some of our own small fireworks and watched the big fireworks go off all around us and all along the perimeter of the lake and it was just the perfect celebration.

The kids (and myself) were exhausted but that didn’t stop Hayes from waking up this morning at his typical time of 6:30am but the big kids are still snoozing and I expect that to last a couple more hours. I opted to skip Ava’s tennis this morning since we’ve had a lot of late nights this weekend with friends so figured she should catch up on some sleep before we start back with our usual schedule tomorrow.
