I see kids Ava’s age all over social media (she’s 8) and I swear, she is so much more innocent than most of them. Most 8-year-olds I see are loving on Sephora and makeup and expensive bags and Stanley cups and here’s my little Ava Sue, loving her dolls and dollhouses and still loving to play make believe and dress up in character dresses. Maybe my view is skewed but it’s a constant reminder that this innocence is going to quickly come to an end and right now, I’m really soaking it all in. We had a little tea party together last night in front of the fire and my heart was so happy. Just so happy. I know it won’t last forever but I really want it to last forever.
We’ve been buying kids princess dresses and character dresses from Taylor Joelle Designs since Ava was a toddler - I’m talking 2 years old. I looked back today and found her in the cutest Minnie Mouse dress was she was four, a dalmatian dress when she was three and some other cute character dresses when she was just two years old and her little voice - oh the memories.
If your kiddos are into dress up like Ava is, I LOVE Taylor Joelle - they’re dress up but make it more casual, like every day wear. You’ll see what I’m talking about when you see some of the characters Ava has right now - a Snow White dress, Monster’s Inc dress, Toy Story dress, Scooby Doo dress and oh my gosh, their site has hundreds.
