DIY BABY BOW TUTORIAL (in less than 5 minutes!)

A little disclaimer before I get started with this one because I am a huge supporter of small shops and I think everyone should be! Sometimes I get Ava dressed and think to myself, "Man I really wish I had a bow in this color!" Hard to believe since we have so many, but it happens from time to time. Of course, I can't wait a week to get one in a mail when I have an immediate need for a photo and in my case this time, I had some leftover fabric from the DIY Boho Fringe Necklaces we made, so I decided to create something fun.

These are in no way meant to replace my small shop orders because let's be honest, they don't look nearly as fabulous as the hundreds of bows we have ordered from all of our favorite shops. But sometimes when you need a quick bow in a certain color, DIY may just be the way to go!

So we decided to do a little DIYing with our leftover fabric and create a couple of quick and easy DIY baby bows in less than 5 minutes!

STEP 1: Cut your fabric into a square or rectangle, depending on the shape, size and style of bow you want to create. For these bows, we did a 3 inch by 2.5 inch rectangle.

STEP 2: Fold your fabric back and forth, back and forth, as though you are making a paper fan. Tie a string, ribbon, or rope of choice to the center to hold it in place, leaving extra slack on the end.

STEP 3: Pull out the sides of your fabric to form the bow. .

STEP 4: Attach the bow to a clip or headband using hot glue or by tying it on using the extra string you have left over! And voila! You're done!
