DIY Laundry Room Makeover Inspo
I have been slowly but surely updating rooms in our home over the past four years that we have lived here. Our home is great but it was very… plain. Very builder-grade style, if you know what I mean. I love white and bright and I don’t like clutter or lots of things but I just crave that homey feel. And so, every room has been slowly but surely DIY’d me yours truly - our entryway DIY wainscoting, guest bathroom, Ava’s bedroom, Ava’s closet, Mac’s nursery and so on…
After I finished that guest bathroom I was craving another project but really felt like I was running out of spaces. And then one day our washer broke in the middle of a cycle (and it was less than four years old!). We’ve always hated that washer and dryer - it took like 4 cycles to dry (yes, hours and hours and hours) and the washer took forever too so we knew it was time for an upgrade and with that, sparked my idea for an upgraded laundry room.
Now I have no desire to hire out for these things because I don’t NEED fancy spaces and I don’t NEED renovations on a house that’s only four years old so I always go the DIY route - it’s quick and easy and I can do it myself whenever I want and really, tiny little updates make such a world of a difference and you’ll see that in a second.

You see? Just a few quick and easy upgrades made a world of a difference in here. Those laundry drying racks that fold flat to the wall are perfect for a small laundry room space, the wallpaper is just to die for, I absolutely love that light fixture, the cafe curtains make it so cozy, the baskets organize everything (although I didn’t get a before photo of that shelf… let’s just say it was an unorganized disaster) and how cool are those laundry bin cabinets?? So pretty and the fluting on them makes them look so high end! And lastly, that painting made by my kids was the perfect finishing touch and I’ll blog more about that soon.
